Hemp Recipes for the Holidays

Get ready for the holidays with these 4 special hemp-infused recipes!


The holiday season is around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than by sprinkling in some hemp! Thanks to our sponsors Pacific Foods, Manitoba Harvest, Dr. Bronner's and Plus CBD Oil, we present you with four fantastic hemp-infused holiday recipes. 



Dairy-Free Hemp Pancakes with Pacific Foods Hemp Milk


Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1/4 cup coconut oil melted and cooled

1 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the Hemp Original Non-Dairy Beverage, eggs, vanilla and melted coconut oil (or butter). Add to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not over mix.

Preheat a skillet over medium heat and grease with butter or oil. Pour 1/4-1/2 cup of batter (depending on desired pancake size) into the pan and cook until edges appear dry and bubbles are visible on top, about 3 minutes. Flip and cook on the other side 2-3 minutes until browned.

Serve immediately or keep warm in a 200 degree oven until ready to serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week, or freezer for up to 1 month. Reheat in the toaster.


 


Mushroom Hemp Tartlets with Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts



Ingredients

16 oz of white button mushrooms

2 tsp olive oil

1 tbsp rosemary, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

4 oz of goat cheese

1/2 cup Hemp Hearts

1/4 cup parsley, chopped

1 package of Tenderflake Patty Shells


Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Add all of the mushrooms except about 6 to a food processor and pulse until they are chopped into fine pieces.

Add the olive oil, chopped mushrooms, rosemary and garlic to a pan over medium heat and sauté until the mushrooms are browned. Stir in the flour until the mixture is well coated and then add the almond milk, goat cheese and Hemp Hearts. Cook over low heat until the mixture thickens.Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the parsley. Cut the remaining mushrooms into thin slices and in a separate pan, sauté them with olive oil until they are cooked.

Cook the Tenderflake Patty Shells according to the package instructions. Once they are done and have cooled slightly, remove the tops and add about 2 tbsp of the mushroom mixture to each shell. You want them to be filled to the top.

Add two thin slices of the cooked mushroom to the top of each tartlet and sprinkle with extra Hemp Hearts. Serve immediately.


 


Sugar Scrub with Dr. Bronner's Pure-Castile Liquid Soap



Ingredients

1 cup (8oz) Organic Coconut Sugar

¼ cup (2oz) Organic Avocado Oil

20 Drops Organic Peppermint Oil

20 Drops Organic Orange Oil

¼ tsp Organic Vitamin E Oil (optional as a preservative)


Instructions

Pour organic coconut sugar into glass or stainless steel bowl, break up any lumps with a whisk or fork. Next, add organic essential oils into sugar. Mix well so sugar is coated with essential oils. Alternating between organic avocado oil and Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Liquid Soap, slowly add to sugar, mixing well. We recommended adding a little of each at a time so you can achieve the consistency you’re looking for. If you prefer a more liquid scrub, simply add more oil and castile soap in equal proportions. Now add organic vitamin E oil and mix well.

Store your scrub in any glass container (do not use plastic with citrus oils, it will break down) and place it in your shower or by the bathtub—mix well before use!


 


CBD Mexican Hot Chocolate



Ingredients

2 bars of Mexican drinking chocolate (approximately 6 ounces).

4 1/4 cups of milk

4 cinnamon sticks

Marshmallows for garnish (optional)


Instructions

Pour your milk into a tall narrow pot over very low heat. Add 2 bars of chocolate. Add in 2 cinnamon sticks and vigorously froth the drink with the molinillo until the chocolate starts to dissolve. (15-20 minutes) Once all of the chocolate has fully dissolved, add 4 full droppers of CBD Oil. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and/or marshmallows and enjoy!


Notes


Do not allow the milk to boil. Once the milk gets close to boiling point, remove from heat and continue to froth. After a few minutes, return to heat, garnish, and serve immediately. Finish each mug with a decorative cinnamon stick and/or marshmallows.
